Surprises in Multiple Scattering of Light
Abstract
Light scattering in disordered media is a classical yet evolving topic. Recent studies have shown that unexpected behaviors and hidden laws can emerge. These are of general interest in wave transport and mesoscopic physics. They also suggest novel approaches for sensing and imaging, and for the design of photonic materials in which light-matter interaction can be controlled by the degree of disorder.
