Nanoengineering Light Absorption: from Hot Carrier Devices to Reconfigurable Metasurfaces
Abstract
Nanoengineering of light absorption in metallic and dielectric nanoresonators opens complementary opportunities for light-energy conversion and active devices. In this talk, I will discuss materials and design rules for plasmonic hot carrier devices towards advanced photochemical light-energy storage. I will also show how thermo-optical effects enable unique reconfigurable metasurfaces together with an outlook for their energy applications.
