Title

Dripping, Jetting, Drops and Wetting: The Magic of Microfluidics

Abstract

This talk will discuss the use of microfluidic devices to make drops which can be used as templates to create new materials which exhibit fascinating properties and great potential for practical uses. The microfluidic devices also provide enabling technology to use drops to perform reactions at high rates with very small quantities of fluids. This can be used to explore fundamental properties of systems biology, and for new types of diagnostics.
