Title
The Formation, Evolution and Environments of Acitive Galaxies
Abstract
Active galaxies host billion solar masses central black holes, whose impact on galaxies and structure on super-galactic scales is still unknown. I will discuss formation and evolution of low- and high-redshift active galaxies with emphasis on environments where feedback effects become important. In the light of new simulations and data, I will also examine the relation between starbursts and activity in galaxies and the underlying physics of multi-phase media in these extreme conditions.
