Title
In the Brightness Bind Them: Light and Matter in Photonic Crystal Fibres
Abstract
Microstructured photonic crystal fibre permits ultra-low-loss guidance of light both in solid glass and in air. The resulting improved control over light-matter interactions permits studies of, intense nonlinear phonon-photon interactions, efficient generation of road-band supercontinuum light, precisely controlled propulsion and guidance of small particles, plasmonic effects in metallic nanowire arrays, and massively enhanced nonlinear gas-laser interactions.
