Verifying Inflation and Probing Dark Energy
Abstract
Inflationary cosmology has been developed over the last twenty years to remedy serious shortcomings in the standard hot big bang model of the universe. I explain the basis of modern cosmology, and discuss robost predictions of inflation and the observational status of their verification.
