A Bell Experiment without Loopholes
Abstract
I will present the first experimental violation of Bell’s inequality that is free of any experimental loopholes and thus directly tests the principles underlying the nature of reality. We create and exploit high-fidelity entanglement between diamond electron spins separated by more than 1 km. I will sketch how this and other recent results may enable the realization of a quantum Internet that can be secured through the laws of quantum physics.
